Despite his two hits, Devers has been struggling since getting traded to the Giants.

He is currently batting .229 with two home runs, six RBI’s, seven runs and 21 strikeouts in 18 games.

SF Giants on NBCS wrote (on Wednesday): “Rafael Devers snapped his bat after this strikeout 😳”

It’s worth noting that Devers is still owed over $200 million by the Giants.

In that span, he batted .279 with 215 home runs, 696 RBI’s, 663 runs and 33 stolen bases in 1,053 games.

The 29-year-old made three All-Star Games (and helped lead the Red Sox to the 2018 World Series Championship).

Giants Right Now

In addition to the slow start from Devers, the Giants are among the worst teams in the MLB.

They have gone 6-12 in 18 games, which has them at the bottom of the National League West.

On the road, the Giants are 3-5 in eight games.
