That said, Herro did not speak to the media.

Ira Winderman of Sun Sentinel wrote: “Tyler Herro and Nikola Jovic among those declining Heat exit interviews today at season-ending media session.”

NBA Social Media Reacts To Herro News

Here’s what people were saying on social media:

@WadexFlash: “I’m honestly very disappointed in Tyler Herro declining his exit interview. You’re labeled as a “franchise” type player next to Bam. You have missed 49 games and had your lowest scoring season since 2023. The least you can do is show up to the last Heat media interview.”

@AlexMarino_13: “What….. to me he’s one of the guys that should be part of the future. We have needed a star to pair with him and Bam ever since Jimmy left, Herro is not part of the problem. Clutch player”

@heatkid_: “Gonna be a lot of extension questions. Understandable”

@British_Buzz: “Since when has players declining exit interviews been a thing? I thought being excused was only reserved for injures/personal situations”

Looking At Miami

The Heat have made the NBA Finals twice since the 2020 season.

That said, they have had two tough finishes since trading Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors.

In 2025, the Heat got swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

There is no question they will be one of the most intriguing teams to watch this summer.
