The Las Vegas Raiders attempted to trade Maxx Crosby this offseason, but a failed physical led to his move to the Baltimore Ravens falling through. Nonetheless, with the 2026 NFL Draft approaching on April 23, it wouldn’t be surprising to see teams calling the Silver and Black to make a trade.

Last season with the Raiders, Crosby posted a 79.7 overall PFF defensive grade, ranking 16th among 115 qualified edge defenders. His 77.1 pass-rush grade placed 20th in that group, while his 78.7 run-defense grade ranked 11th at the position.

He finished with 53 total pressures, including 10 sacks, 31 hurries, and 12 hits. Against the run, he recorded 46 solo tackles and forced one fumble.

As the draft nears, former NFL executive and ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum believes that the Cincinnati Bengals should be making a move for Crosby.

“Six weeks ago, the expectation would have been closer to two first-round picks, but that price is no longer realistic,” Tannenbaum said on the April 16 edition of “Get Up.” “Las Vegas still lands a Top 10 pick in return. From Cincinnati’s perspective, the move addresses a major need for a pass rusher, with Crosby viewed as a player who can more than replace Trey Hendrickson.

“Beyond the production, he is seen as the type of tone-setter who strengthens the locker room. For Joe Burrow, adding Crosby would be a clear boost, giving the Bengals a proven leader and a physical, high-energy presence who brings the kind of edge the team wants to build around.”

Former Raiders GM Gets Blunt About Maxx Crosby’s Future

On the April 10 edition of “The Rich Eisen Show, former Raiders general manager Mike Mayock shared his thoughts on Crosby’s future and whether that will be with the Silver and Black.

“My best guess is that Maxx is sticking around, Mayock said. “But one of the things I mentioned to him afterward was, though I may have forgotten exactly how he said it, just work your ass off like you always have. Be who you are. Be all in on the Raiders, but be prepared for anything, because you can’t control it, and you’ve got to be ready to move no matter what.”

Moreover, Mayock believes that, because of the moves the Raiders have made, Crosby is buying into a future with the Silver and Black.

“He wants to make a decision and go, and I think he’s all in on the Raiders right now. That’s especially true with the infrastructure they put in place this offseason… I think they’ve done a lot of really good things this offseason, and I’m guessing Maxx is pretty excited about it.”

Kirk Cousins Doesn’t Hold Back on Maxx Crosby

The Raiders officially introduced veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins on April 6, confirming his arrival with the team. Alongside the announcement, the organization released a sit-down interview with Cousins, in which he discussed his new situation in Las Vegas.

Cousins made it clear he is glad to now be on the same side as Crosby after facing him as an opponent in the past.

“There’s only a handful of guys in the league, maybe a half‑dozen, that truly you’re thinking about as you prepare for them the entire week, every play, saying, ‘What are we doing about this guy?‘” Cousins said in a April 6 video on the Raiders’ YouTube channel.

“And there’s only about a half‑dozen of them. Maxx is one of those guys where, you know, you are all week long wondering how he could wreck the game on this play, on this play, on this play.”
