Tiger Woods will not be in the field at The Masters this year, with players across the tournament reacting to his absence.

Tiger Woods made “unusual” remarks to police about drones flying over his house and a conversation with the president before his arrest in March, a new report shows.

The Guardian obtained a report filed by prosecutors in Florida related to the golfer’s arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, showing what the report called “unusual” conversations with the officers. Woods has professed his innocence and is fighting an attempt to obtain information about his prescription medications.

Tiger Woods Told Police About Drones, Conversation With President

As The Guardian reported, Woods spoke openly to officers who responded to the scene of his March 27 accident, when he flipped over his car following an accident near his home in Jupiter, Florida.

“The filing, submitted by prosecutors in Florida as part of routine pretrial discovery and obtained by the Guardian, also details a series of unusual remarks Woods made to officers at the scene of the 27 March crash in Hobe Sound, including references to drones flying over his home and a claim that he had spoken to ‘the president,’ ” the report noted.

The report added that close to an hour before the crash, Woods told a police officer that “all the drones” were flying over his home and spoke about “10 to 15 drones coming over my … car” with “GoPros on ‘em.”

“He then stepped away while on the phone and, when asked to remain nearby, said he had ‘just [been] talking to the president trying to get away from …’ before trailing off,” the report added, noting that President Donald Trump revealed that he had spoken to Woods on the day of hte crash.

The report added that Woods told police that he took medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol, and also was taking ibuprofen and Vicodin, but denied drinking alcohol.

“A breath test showed no alcohol in his system, but Woods refused a urine test for drugs, the filing states,” the report noted.

Tiger Woods Fighting Attempt to Access Prescription Records

The report added that Woods and his legal team are fighting a request from prosecutors to gain information about his prescription records in the months leading up to the accident.

“His attorneys have objected, arguing the records are private and have asked a judge to determine whether they are relevant to the case,” the report noted. “They have also requested a protective order that would limit how any records are used and prevent their release through public records requests.”

While Woods has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing, he did release a statement saying he was taking a break from golf to focus on his health.

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” Woods wrote in a statement shared on X.

“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
