Game 1 for the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves is approaching. Ahead of the action, both teams had placed key players on the injury report. Statuses are getting finalized.

For the Nuggets, they cleared most of their injury report. Going into the final game of the regular season, the core group was out. The only two players listed were Spencer Jones and Peyton Watson.

The latter player was ruled out due to a right hamstring strain. Watson has been dealing with that for a few weeks now.

As for Spencer Jones, he has the same issue. Jones was initially listed as questionable heading into Game 1. Fortunately, the Nuggets will have their sophomore forward in the mix. Jones has been upgraded on the injury report to available.

This season, Jones has appeared in 64 games for Denver. He started 37 of those matchups, averaging 22.1 minutes per game.

On Minnesota’s side, they listed just one player going into Game 1.

The star guard, Anthony Edwards, was labeled questionable to play for the big matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Considering Edwards’ injury designation was due to knee injury maintenance, many expected the All-Star to get the nod to play.

Edwards went through his normal pregame workout routine, which was another positive signal. Ultimately, the Timberwolves upgraded Edwards for the action. Both injury reports are now finalized. The Nuggets and Timberwolves are ready to roll for Game 1, which is set for a 3:30 PM ET tip.
