For Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team driver Charles Leclerc, the unexpected pause in the 2026 FIA F1 Season has offered something rare: time to breathe. With two Grand Prix races – the Bahrain GP and the Saudi Arabian GP – cancelled due to rising tensions in the Middle East, the usually relentless motorsport calendar has eased up to give everyone a short break. For at least a brief period, drivers can reset and focus on other priorities for a moment – which, for the Ferrari driver, is quite exciting given his recent nuptials shortly before the 2026 season kicked off.
The mid-season break has become a snapshot of both evolving career and personal milestones for Leclerc, now defined as much by stability off the track as his ambition on it. While his Ferrari teammate, Lewis Hamilton, has been spotted filming drift scenes in Tokyo and enjoying time at Coachella with his newly minted girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, Leclerc has had a different lens of focus during the spontaneous April 2026 break.

Charles Leclerc entered the 2026 Formula 1 season with a renewed focus as he once again took the wheel behind a Ferrari F1 car. After years of near-misses and rebuilding phases, Ferrari’s latest model has shown flashes of genuine competitiveness – especially as the team entered the April 2026 break in second place behind Mercedes. While not yet the outright benchmark they’d been hoping for, Leclerc has been able to consistently challenge at the front of the grid and has collected podium finishes while staying within striking distance of early championship leaders.
With this early 2026 season success on his radar, Leclerc has been able to fully enjoy his time in newlywed bliss while at home in Monaco with his new wife, Alexandra Leclerc, during the April break. Just two days into April, he took to his social media to post about his return flight back to Monaco and his joyous reunion with both Alex and his beloved pup, Leo.

While speaking on The BSMT podcast during an April 2026 appearance, Charles Leclerc opened up about how much he has been enjoying his quiet time alone with his wife (Leo included!) and his gratitude for the additional quality time he’s been able to immerse himself in during the mid-season pause. Speaking to his appreciation of Alexandra, Charles said, “My family, my wife, she’s my rock. She’s really that. And, well, I also think that in life I’ve been fortunate.”
