Shane Shoemaker is an experienced sports journalist based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, whose work over the past several years has appeared across multiple national and local outlets. He currently covers college football and the NFL for Heavy.com, providing in-depth reporting and editorials on some of the sport’s biggest storylines.
Shoemaker has also written for The Sporting News, Athlon Sports, USA TODAY, and ClutchPoints, covering everything from the NFL and college football to Major League Baseball. At the local level, he has worked for the Marion Tribune, where he reported extensively on Tennessee high school sports, including multiple state championship football games.
