Jordan J. Wilson is a St. Louis-based reporter who covers the NFL and MLB for Heavy.com, with a focus on the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
He has previously covered all levels of sports — high school, college and pro — for a variety of publications, including The Indianapolis Star, The News-Gazette, Springfield State-Journal Register and Peoria Journal Star.
In 2018, his reporting earned him a first-place award from the Illinois Press Association for Best Promotion of Public's Right to Know at the Northwest Herald. He also received an honorable mention in the Community Service category during the same year.
Education
Jordan Wilson earned a bachelor's degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016 with a minor in English/Literature.
He was also selected as a National Writing Finalist for the Hearst Journalism Awards Program after placing seventh in the sports/breaking news writing category and ninth in the personality/profile writing category.
