Zachary Short : Shipped to Boston

The Red Sox acquired Short from the Mets on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations. Short had been designated for assignment but has now found a new home. The utility infielder is out of minor-league options, so he will join the Red Sox's 26-man active roster.
