The Angels reassigned Perdomo to minor-league camp Wednesday. The 31-year-old lefty had been attending camp as a non-roster invitee but didn't appear in any Cactus League games before the Angels removed him from the competition for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen. Perdomo has previously seen big-league action in parts of four seasons from 2020 through 2025, accruing a 5.54 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 14 appearances.
The Angels signed Perdomo to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Taylor Blake Ward of The Sporting Tribune reports. Perdomo got into four games with the Athletics in 2025, yielding two runs over 3.1 innings. The lefty reliever has a career 5.54 ERA and 79:37 K:BB over 52 frames covering parts of four major-league seasons and is likely to start the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Salt Lake.
Perdomo was optioned outright to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday. Perdomo was designated for assignment by the A's on Saturday, clearing waivers before being optioned Monday. The left-hander has appeared in four games with the Athletics this season, surrendering two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 3.1 innings. Perdomo will now look to get into a groove with Sacramento before potentially earning another promotion to the major-league roster down the road this season.
