Jorge Soler: Breaking News

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday in a 4-3 win against the White Sox. Soler tied the game at 2-2 with a first-inning solo shot to center field. The veteran slugger has gone deep eight times through 33 games and leads the Angels with 28 RBI while scoring 18 times. His .795 OPS is on pace for his highest mark since 2023.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three total RBI in a loss to the White Sox on Monday. Soler produced the game's first run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. He added a solo homer in the seventh and notched another RBI with a groundout in the ninth. The veteran slugger has been adept at knocking in runners this season -- though he's batting a modest .232, Soler leads the Angels with 23 RBI across his 26 games. That RBI total is tied for 10th-best in the majors.

Soler will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Sunday's game against the Padres. After completing his four-game suspension Saturday, Soler will slot back into his typical spot in the heart of the Angels lineup for the series finale. Jo Adell will move down to the No. 6 spot in the order after occupying the cleanup spot during three of the four games that Soler was out.
