Cut from big-league camp

The Twins reassigned Arcia to minor-league camp Tuesday. The veteran infielder was unable to win a reserve role as a non-roster invitee this spring. Arcia slashed only .202/.238/.291 across 214 plate appearances between Atlanta and Colorado in 2025 and is set to open 2026 at Triple-A St. Paul.

Signs minors deal with Twins

Arcia signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Saturday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. Arcia endured his worst season in the big leagues last year, slashing .202/.238/.291 with 13 RBI and 13 runs scored across 214 plate appearances between Atlanta and Colorado. The 31-year-old will have a chance to bounce back in the Twins' farm system, but he likely won't act as more than bench depth if he makes it back to the majors in 2026.

Working in reserve role

Arcia went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Cubs. Arcia has started every other game across Colorado's last six contests, filling in primarily at second base. He drew a start at third base Sunday and delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arcia has gone 8-for-23 with five RBI and three runs scored since returning from the injured list Aug. 17.
