Corbin did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out three across 3.2 innings. Corbin has totaled just 6.2 innings in his last two starts, allowing seven runs on 11 hits in that span. The veteran left-hander's ERA now sits at 4.57 through 13 starts (61 innings) this season with a 1.48 WHIP and 43:20 K:BB. Corbin will likely get one more start, tentatively scheduled to come next week on the road against the Cubs, before Shane Bieber (elbow) is ready to return to the rotation.

Patrick Corbin: Breaking News
Lasts just three frames Monday
Corbin (2-3) took the loss against Philadelphia on Monday, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three batters over three innings. Corbin got through a scoreless first inning but served up a two-run homer to Adolis Garcia in the second. Things got even worse for the veteran lefty in the third, as he yielded three runs on two hits, three walks and a hit-by-pitch. That was all Blue Jays manager John Schneider could handle, as he turned to the bullpen to begin the fourth. Overall, Corbin threw just 44 of 79 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high four free passes. After getting through May with a solid 3.65 ERA through 10 starts, he's taken a big step back to begin June, yielding nine runs over eight frames across his first two outings of the month.
Takes home the loss
Corbin (2-2) picked up the loss Wednesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings during a 7-3 loss against Atlanta. He struck out one. Corbin gave up his most runs since his first start with the Blue Jays, including the game-deciding three-run homer to Mauricio Dubon in the third, right after Toronto took the lead. This is Corbin's twelfth straight loss to Atlanta, and ended his streak of nine consecutive starts with three earned runs or less. Overall, the lefty has been a very reliable option on the mound this season for the Blue Jays, with a 3.98 ERA and a 37:16 K:BB over 54.1 innings and 11 starts. Corbin is projected to pitch at home next week against the Phillies.
