The Padres signed Pint to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Pint signed a minor-league deal with the Guardians last offseason but never wound up pitching in their organization or anywhere else in 2025, presumably due to an undisclosed injury. The one-time No. 4 overall draft pick has been tattooed for nine runs over 3.2 innings during his brief time in the majors.

Receives MiLB deal from Cleveland
The Guardians signed Pint to a minor-league contract Wednesday. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, Pint has failed to live up to expectations, in large part due to an inability to find the strike zone. He made five appearances with the Rockies over the last two seasons, allowing nine runs with a 7:8 K:BB over 3.2 frames. He'll be in minor-league camp during spring training and likely begin the 2025 season at Triple-A Columbus.
Jettisoned by Colorado
Pint was outrighted by the Rockies on Saturday. Pint has given up eight runs on five hits and five walks across 3.1 innings in his four major-league outings this season. He was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, and the 26-year-old right-hander will likely remain in the Rockies' system after going unclaimed off waivers. Across 25 minor-league outings this season, Pint has a 3.10 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 29 innings.
