As originally reported by, Romero was slated to face Steve Cantwell, but Cantwell pulled out of the bout on Thursday morning.

UFC 116 takes place July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight title bout between the returning Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin.
