The UFC is heading back to Montreal, and this time it’s for one of the biggest fights of 2010: the rematch between Georges St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck.
St. Pierre and Koscheck will clash in the headlining bout of UFC 124 on Dec. 11 at the Bell Centre. MMAFighting.com confirmed the news with UFC President Dana White on Monday afternoon.
St. Pierre and Koscheck will be featured as competing coaches on the 12th season of The Ultimate Fighter, which premieres Sept. 15 on Spike TV. St. Pierre already holds a victory over Koscheck when the pair met in a non-title fight at UFC 74. St. Pierre went on to reclaim his welterweight championship from Matt Serra and then strung together a dominating series of title defenses.
Koscheck earned his title shot (and his role on the Ultimate Fighter’s 12th season) by defeating Paul Daley during the UFC’s last visit to Montreal in May.
