Fight night bonuses handed out after historic Brazil card
RIO DE JANIERO – Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Ross Pearson and Edson Barboza each went home $100,000 richer after winning fight night bonuses at UFC Rio.
HeavyMMA.com learned of the bonus winners while attending the post-fight press conference.
Barboza and Pearson combined for the Fight of the Night, while Nogueira earned his money by knocking out Brendan Schaub. There was no submission finishes on the entire card, so no submission of the night award was handed out.
The awards were among the largest ever handed out by the UFC. Only UFC 129 ($129,000) was higher, while UFC 100 ($100,000) matched the total.
