Aaron Holiday: Breaking News

Holiday provided three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 12 minutes during Wednesday's 110-108 overtime loss to the Timberwolves. Holiday continues to be used sparingly off the bench this season. He has just 47 regular-season appearances to his name for averages of 5.4 points and 1.0 assists in 13.2 minutes per contest.

Holiday (coach's decision) went unused off the bench Friday in the Rockets' 107-105 win over the Pelicans. The Rockets didn't have Alperen Sengun (back) available Friday, but his absence wasn't enough for Holiday to stick around in the rotation. After Holiday had averaged 9.5 minutes per game while appearing in each of the past four games, he ended up ceding his spot in the Rockets' nine-man rotation to Jeff Green (nine minutes), with head coach Ime Udoka opting to add more size to the second unit while Dorian Finney-Smith replaced Sengun in the starting five.

Holiday provided two points (1-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound and three assists across 16 minutes during Wednesday's 129-93 loss to Denver. Holiday continues to offer very little when on the court, scoring no more than five points for the sixth straight game. At this point, he isn't even an every-night part of the rotation, often seeing the court when the result is all but decided. In 43 appearances thus far, he has averaged 5.4 points in 13.0 minutes per game.
