Fudge was waived by the Lakers on Friday. Fudge signed a contract with the Lakers on Thursday but was let go by the organization a day later. It wouldn't be surprising to see him end up in the G League during the 2024-25 campaign.

Alex Fudge: Breaking News
Signs with Lakers
Fudge signed a contract with the Lakers on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. It's unclear if Fudge signed a two-way deal with the Lakers, though that could very well be the case as he spent the 2023-24 campaign on such a deal, appearing in six NBA contests for the Lakers and Mavericks while averaging 2.5 points in 6.7 minutes per game. Even though Fudge will look to battle for a roster spot in training camp, he's likely to spend most of the upcoming campaign in the G League.
Cut by Dallas
The Mavericks waived Fudge on Thursday, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports. Fudge spent his rookie season on two-way deals with the Lakers and Mavericks, playing 40 total minutes across six appearances. He'll presumably try to latch on elsewhere on a training camp deal.
