Len logged 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal across 17 minutes during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks. Len stepped into the rotation after recording a DNP via coach's decision in each of the club's last three outings. The big man nearly recorded a double-double and was efficient in the blowout loss. However, Len is unlikely to stick around in the rotation whenever Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Jarred Vanderbilt (groin) return.

Alex Len Latest News
Nears double-double in defeat

Len logged 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal across 17 minutes during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks. Len stepped into the rotation after recording a DNP via coach's decision in each of the club's last three outings. The big man nearly recorded a double-double and was efficient in the blowout loss. However, Len is unlikely to stick around in the rotation whenever Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Jarred Vanderbilt (groin) return.
Retreats to bench

Len won't start Sunday's game against the Suns, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. With Jaxson Hayes (knee) sidelined, Len drew three straight starts but failed to make an impact, totaling four points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 44 minutes. Len wasn't part of the regular rotation before Hayes' injury, but the former should have a role Sunday, as Trey Jemison (illness) is sidelined.
Fails to score in start

Len closed with zero points (0-1 FG), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 13 minutes during Monday's 111-108 loss to the Nets. Len moved into the starting lineup, replacing Jaxson Hayes, who was ruled out with a knee injury. Despite the promotion, Len offered very little in terms of tangible production, failing to score for the fourth consecutive game. Having suited up only twice in the past eight games, Len's role appears to be on a knife's edge, typically resulting in very little playing time, if any.
Starting sans Hayes

Len will start in Monday's game against Brooklyn, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. The veteran big man will supplant Jarred Vanderbilt in the starting five due to Jaxson Hayes (knee) being sidelined. Vanderbilt drew the start at center during Saturday's loss to Boston, though Len will join the first unit against the Nets after receiving a DNP via coach's decision in each of the Lakers' last two outings.
Enters rotation in win

Len supplied one rebound across three minutes during Saturday's 123-100 win over the Nuggets. Len was back in the rotation, albeit for a short stint during garbage time. After playing 22 minutes in his first appearance for the Lakers, Len has since faded into obscurity. At this point, it appears he will only be used in emergencies or when the opponent is of a sizeable nature.
Available Wednesday

Len is available for and will play in Wednesday's game against the Jazz, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports. Len signed with the Lakers on Tuesday and will be active for Wednesday's contest. He'll compete with Jaxson Hayes and Trey Jemison for center minutes the rest of the season. In 36 appearances with the Kings during 2024-25, Len averaged 1.4 points and 1.8 rebounds across 7.2 minutes.
Set to sign with Lakers

Shams Charania of ESPN reported Tuesday that Len will sign with the Lakers. Len signed a one-year, $3.31 million deal with the Kings in July of 2024, but he only played 7.2 minutes per game while serving in a rotational role at center. He was traded by Sacramento last Thursday to Washington and was subsequently waived. Earlier reports indicated that he would ink a deal with the Pacers for the rest of the season, but Len will instead head to Los Angeles to play alongside LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. With the Lakers' trade for Mark Williams being rescinded Saturday, Len should see some meaningful minutes off the bench as the backup center behind Jaxson Hayes.
Won't sign with Indiana

The Pacers will not sign Len to a deal, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Len was expected to sign a one-year pact with the Pacers upon clearing waivers; however, he will remain a free agent for the time being. The big man was traded from the Kings to the Wizards before having been waived by Washington on Saturday. The 31-year-old is a candidate to latch on with a team lacking depth in the frontcourt.
Set to be waived, sign with Pacers

Len is set to be waived by the Wizards on Saturday and is expected to sign with the Pacers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Len was part of a three-team trade Thursday that saw him being sent from the Kings to the Wizards. Len could still be claimed off waivers by another team, but assuming he isn't he intends to join Indiana to serve as a depth center behind Myles Turner (neck) and Thomas Bryant. Len didn't see much playing time off the Kings' bench, averaging 1.4 points and 1.8 rebounds over 7.2 minutes per game before being traded.
