Buddy Boeheim: Breaking News

Waived by Thunder

The Thunder waived Boeheim on Monday, per Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman. Payton Sandfort is replacing Boeheim's two-way spot on the Thunder's roster. Boeheim has spent most of his time with the Oklahoma City Blue in the G League in 2025-26, and it's possible he'll stick around there despite being let go by the NBA club.

Off injury report for Saturday

Boeheim (thumb) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Rockets. Boeheim signed a two-way pact with the Thunder on Friday and will be available to suit up against Houston. However, the 26-year-old guard isn't guaranteed to see the floor and is expected to see most of his playing time with the G League's Oklahoma City Blue.

Agrees to two-way deal with OKC

The Thunder signed Boeheim (thumb) to a two-way contract Friday, per Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic. Boeheim has already been a member of the Thunder's G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, but now he can bounce around with the parent club as needed. The sharpshooter is currently nursing a thumb injury, so it remains to be seen when he'll retake the floor, whether it be for the Blue or the Thunder.
