The Spurs renounced their free agent rights on Osman (ankle) on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. This move isn't a huge surprise, and Osman will seek opportunities elsewhere. The veteran forward is likely to have a decent market and holds career averages of 9.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Ruled out for Sunday

Osman (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Pistons, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Osman's season will officially come to an end, though he's considered day-to-day. Playing in his first season with the Spurs, Osman produced averages of 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 17.6 minutes per game.

Will remain sidelined Friday

Osman (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Nuggets, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Osman continues to deal with an ankle injury and will be unavailable for a fifth consecutive game. His final chance to suit up this year will be Sunday against the Pistons, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him remain sidelined for the regular-season finale since the Spurs aren't in playoff contention.
