Damion Baugh: Breaking News

Waived by Phoenix

The Suns waived Baugh on Wednesday. Baugh signed a training camp deal with the Suns on Sept. 23. He'll likely end up suiting up for the G League's Valley Suns to start the 2025-26 campaign.

Lands with Phoenix

Baugh will join the Suns on a training camp deal, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reported Tuesday. Baugh was waived by the Hornets back in July, but he'll have his work cut out for him in Phoenix, as his contract is not guaranteed. Presumably, he'll be a candidate to join the Valley Suns in the G League.

Waived by Hornets

The Hornets waived Baugh on Friday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. The move clears a spot on Charlotte's roster for Antonio Reeves, who has joined the team on a two-way contract. Baugh most recently played in the Summer League with the Hornets, averaging 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 19.2 minutes per game over six outings. He'll hope to latch onto another club elsewhere as backcourt depth ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
