Darius Bazley: Breaking News

Held out of Friday's contest

Bazley (leg) did not play in Friday's Summer League game against the Nuggets. Bazley had been having a strong Summer League showing before exiting Thursday's game against the Celtics early with a right leg injury. He appeared in 11 games with the Delaware Blue Coats in 2024-25, averaging 18.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals in 30.8 minutes per contest.

Exits with injury

Bazley left Thursday's Summer League game against the Celtics with an apparent right leg injury, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports. Bazley went down hard on a drive to the bucket and appeared to be in considerable pain while being taken off the floor in a wheelchair. The team should provide more information on the extent of the injury after the exhibition.

Double-doubles in win

Bazley finished with 12 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-12 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and five blocks across 33 minutes during Saturday's Summer League 94-81 win over the Pelicans. Bazely continues to impress during his stint with the Lakers during the Summer League, as he got the job done defensively Saturday while also managing to record a double-double. The 25-year-old racked up a game-high five blocks to go along with a team-high two swipes.
