Set to be waived by Clippers

The Clippers will waive Telfort, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. Telfort was on a two-way contract with Los Angeles, but the franchise will cut ties with him in order to sign RayJ Dennis. Telfort made seven NBA appearances this season with an average of 4.1 minutes per contest.

Signs two-way deal

Telfort signed a two-way contract with the Clippers on Saturday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. The undrafted rookie was previously on an Exhibit 10 deal, but the Clippers liked what they saw from him in the preseason. Telfort is likely to be a prominent player for the San Diego Clippers in the G League.

Contributes nine points from bench

Telfort finished with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and three rebounds across 16 minutes during Friday's 106-103 win over the Warriors. The undrafted rookie is vying for a spot on the roster after signing a training camp contract, but his immediate future with the team in unclear. The Butler product fell way below expectations during his stint in the Summer League, but the team saw enough potential to bring him along. An Exhibit 10 deal will be the likely outcome for him in the coming days.
