Jameer Nelson: Everything you need to know

The Kings waived Nelson on Sunday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Nelson signed an Exhibit 10 contract Saturday, but he will ultimately be waived. His rights will be retained by Sacramento's G League affiliate. In 42 games with the Austin Spurs last season, Nelson averaged 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest.

The Kings signed Nelson to an Exhibit 10 contract Saturday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Ham will try to earn a roster spot over the course of training camp and throughout the preseason. He'll likely suit up for the G League's Stockton Kings for the upcoming season. During the 2024-25 campaign, Nelson played in 42 games for the Austin Spurs, averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 28.3 percent from three-point range.

Nelson notched 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 18 minutes in Saturday's 96-84 Summer League win over the Pistons. Nelson led the bench in points and finished as San Antonio's second-leading scorer. The 23-year-old guard appeared in 42 G League outings with the Austin Spurs in 2024-25, during which he averaged 10.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 17.6 minutes per contest.
