Heading overseas

Ingles signed a two-year contract with Australia's Melbourne United on Monday, Olgun Uluc of ESPN reports. After serving as a veteran leader and depth piece for the Timberwolves over the past two seasons, Ingles will head back to his native Australia and could potentially finish his professional basketball career there. The 38-year-old spent the last 12 seasons in the NBA, including his first eight with the Jazz. He holds career averages of 6.9 points, 3.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals across 21.4 minutes per contest in the Association.

Won't start Saturday

Ingles won't start Saturday's Game 1 against Denver. After starting Minnesota's regular-season finale, Ingles will retreat to the second unit. The veteran forward is unlikely to see meaningful action Saturday.

Double-double in win

Ingles chipped in 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, six rebounds, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Sunday's 132-126 victory over the Pelicans. Ingles drew the start Sunday and contributed across the board, knocking down three triples and reaching the 10-rebound mark to record his first double-double of the season. It was a positive way for the veteran to close the regular season after playing a limited role in the Timberwolves' rotation, as he'll finish averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 assists in 5.7 minutes across 27 appearances.
