Finishes regular season in style
Stevens registered 31 points (14-25 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Sunday's 132-97 victory over Dallas. Stevens took advantage of the fact that the Grizzlies rested most of their regular rotation members for the regular-season finale, and he stepped by posting the best scoring performance of his career. However, Stevens isn't expected to hold a significant role in the rotation once the playoffs begin. After all, even when including this outing Sunday, he averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds across 9.1 minutes per game in 17 regular-season contests (one start) this season.
Starting Sunday
Stevens will start Sunday's game against the Mavericks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. With most of Memphis' regulars sidelined, Stevens will make his first start of the season. He's played more than 20 minutes only once this season, totaling 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 22 minutes during a 120-118 win over Phoenix on March 10.
Fails to score again Friday
Stevens totaled zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) over zero minutes during Friday's 117-109 loss to the Nuggets. Stevens' modest role continued Friday, failing to score for the seventh time in the past eight games. After stepping into a meaningful role from March 10 to March 15, during which he averaged 16.5 minutes per game, he has faded into obscurity of late. Over his past six games, he has averaged 0.5 points in 3.3 minutes.
Gets minimal run in return
Stevens (shoulder) tallied two points (1-2 FG) across two minutes in Thursday's 125-104 loss to the Thunder. Stevens was back in action after missing Memphis' previous three games with right shoulder bursitis, but he barely cracked the rotation. He played 11 seconds to close out the third quarter and then didn't re-enter the game until the final 2:13 of the contest, when the Grizzlies trailed by 20 points and most other key contributors had already been shut down for the night.

Stevens has been dealing with a right shoulder issue that kept him out for the last three games for the Grizzlies, but that won't keep him off the floor Thursday in Oklahoma City. The 27-year-old forward is averaging 4.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, shooting 40.6 percent from the field this season.

Stevens (shoulder) will play Thursday night against the Thunder. Stevens will make a return to the court Thursday after missing three straight games with a shoulder injury. He's averaging 5.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists over his last five appearances, all off the bench.

Stevens (shoulder) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Thunder. Stevens has missed the last three games for the Grizzlies while nursing a right shoulder issue. If he's ruled out Thursday, the next opportunity for him to return to the floor will be Saturday against the Lakers.
