Lamar Stevens: Everything you need to know

Stevens ended with no counting stats over zero minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Stevens briefly checked in and committed a foul in the final seconds of Saturday's elimination game loss. The 27-year-old forward totaled four points, four rebounds and an assist across 12 minutes in two appearances during the first-round series. Stevens is slated to be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason, and he finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 4.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 9.1 minutes per game in 17 regular-season outings (one start).

Stevens isn't in the starting five for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Warriors, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Stevens entered the starting lineup in Memphis' regular-season finale due to many of the team's typical starters sitting out but will return to the bench Tuesday. Across Stevens' last 10 appearances coming off the bench, he has averaged 2.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 7.1 minutes.

Stevens registered 31 points (14-25 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Sunday's 132-97 victory over Dallas. Stevens took advantage of the fact that the Grizzlies rested most of their regular rotation members for the regular-season finale, and he stepped by posting the best scoring performance of his career. However, Stevens isn't expected to hold a significant role in the rotation once the playoffs begin. After all, even when including this outing Sunday, he averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 rebounds across 9.1 minutes per game in 17 regular-season contests (one start) this season.
