The Bucks waived Sears on Wednesday,Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Sears will lose his two-way slot with the Bucks after appearing in seven games with the NBA squad this season. In those seven games, he averaged 3.1 points across 3.7 minutes. The 23-year-old point guard went undrafted in 2025.

Available Monday

Sears (calf) is available for Monday's preseason game against the Heat, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Sears missed all of Summer League due to a strained left calf, though he'll return for Milwaukee's preseason opener. The undrafted rookie out of Alabama signed a two-way contract with the Bucks in June. He averaged 18.6 points, 5.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game across 37 outings during his final collegiate campaign.

Doesn't appear in Summer League

Sears (calf) did not play in Friday's 93-92 Summer League loss to the Heat. Sears did not suit up during the Las Vegas Summer League due to a left calf strain. The Alabama product latched on with the Bucks on a two-way contract after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft.
