Onuralp Bitim: Breaking News

Let go by Chicago

The Bulls waived Bitim on Thursday. Bitim averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 11.7 minutes in 23 regular-season appearances, including one start, for Chicago last season. He will now enter the 2024-25 campaign as a free agent.

Returns to bench Wednesday

Bitim will come off the bench in Wednesday's preseason contest versus Minnesota. Bitim gives way to Coby White, who will reprise his starting role alongside Josh Giddey and Zach LaVine on Wednesday. Bitim will help anchor a second unit that is without Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder/rest) and Dalen Terry (knee).

Enters starting five

Bitim is starting Monday's preseason game against the Bucks. Bitim will get a chance to run with the first unit Monday evening while the Bulls give the majority of the starting five the night off. Bitim didn't see any action in Saturday's preseason game, so this will be a great opportunity for the 25-year-old to show what he can do.
