Reaches settlement with Niners

Anae (undisclosed) was released from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the 49ers on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The defensive end now has a chance to play in 2025 if he can catch on with another team, though his injury remains undisclosed. The 2020 fifth-round pick of the Cowboys last appeared in an NFL regular-season game in 2021. Anae has two career tackles across 11 contests.

Anae (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the 49ers on Wednesday. Anae signed with the 49ers on Aug. 4, but he now appears to have suffered an undisclosed injury, which is set to sideline him for the entirety of the 2025 campaign. The defensive end would be eligible to return to action if he reached an injury settlement with San Francisco, but otherwise he'll set his sights on the 2026 season.
