Jabrill Peppers: Breaking News

On track to play Week 11

Peppers (quadriceps) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Peppers missed the Steelers' last two games due to a quadriceps injury, but his ability to practice in full Wednesday indicates that he'll be available for Sunday's AFC North clash against the Bengals. Peppers' return gives the Steelers another contributor on special teams and added depth at safety behind Kyle Dugger and Jalen Ramsey.

Won't play Week 10

Peppers (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Peppers was unable to practice all week and will miss a second consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury, and his next opportunity to play is Week 11 against Cincinnati on Sunday, Nov. 16. Chuck Clark and Juan Thornhill will serve as the Steelers' backup safeties behind Kyle Dugger and Jalen Ramsey for Sunday's contest.

Still sidelined Wednesday

Peppers (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Peppers was held out of Sunday's win over the Colts after suffering the quad injury during practice. It's concerning that he's still sidelined, but he'll still have two days to increase his participation and have a chance to suit up in Week 10 against the Chargers.
