The Bears signed Lynch to a one-year contract Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Lynch played with the Vikings from 2020-23 and with the Titans from 2024-25, and he will now provide interior defensive line depth in Chicago. James Lynch: Breaking News
Re-signs with Titans
The Titans re-signed Lynch on Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Lynch is set to return to Tennessee, where he recorded 20 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass defections during the 2024 campaign. He will likely serve as a depth defender during the upcoming season and can contribute on special teams as well.
Solid production in 2024
Lynch finished the 2024 season with 20 total tackles (six solo), including 2.0 sacks, while also adding two passes defensed over 17 games. Lynch signed a one-year deal with Tennessee in September, appearing in all 17 of the team's regular-season contests while operating as a depth option at defensive end behind Sebastian Joseph-Day and Jeffery Simmons. Lynch will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent and he'll likely garner plenty of interest on the open market.
