Jedrick Wills: Everything you need to know

The Bears agreed to terms with Wills (knee) on a one-year contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Following back-to-back injury-ruined seasons in 2023 and 2024, Wills sat out the 2025 campaign to let his knees heal. He's still just 26 years old and was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2020 Draft by the Browns. Wills gives the Bears a risk-free flyer at left tackle after Ozzy Trapilo suffered a torn patellar tendon in the wild-card win over the Packers in January.

Wills, who is a free agent, plans to sit out most of the 2025 season to fully recover from multiple knee injuries suffered over the previous two seasons, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. Schultz noted that Wills could opt to sit out the entirety of 2025. Wills was the No. 10 overall pick by the Browns in the 2020 NFL Draft, but his career has halted in recent years due to lingering knee issues. He suffered an MCL injury in November 2023 and has dealt with complications and aggravations ever since, appearing in just 13 of a possible 34 games since the start of the 2023 campaign.

Silovs is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Thursday, per Jeff Paterson of Canucks Army. Silovs has a 1-5-1 record, 3.82 GAA and .862 save percentage in eight appearances this season. He did hold his own in his last start Sunday, stopping 30 of 32 shots, but he still suffered a 2-1 loss to Utah due to a lack of goal support. Anaheim ranks 32nd in the NHL with 2.51 goals per game.
