Zeitler (shoulder) returned to practice Sunday, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports. Zeitler hurt his shoulder during practice in early August and didn't play at all during the preseason, but he now appears to be back to health. As such, he should be ready to suit up and start at right guard for Detroit in Week 1 of the regular season versus the Rams.

Back at practice
Zeitler (shoulder) returned to practice Sunday, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports. Zeitler hurt his shoulder during practice in early August and didn't play at all during the preseason, but he now appears to be back to health. As such, he should be ready to suit up and start at right guard for Detroit in Week 1 of the regular season versus the Rams.
Dealing with shoulder issue
Zeitler was evaluated for a shoulder injury during Monday's practice, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports. The severity of Zeitler's shoulder injury is currently unknown, but if the 34-year-old offensive lineman ends up missing some time, expect Colby Sorsdal to get the majority of the work as Detroit's first-team right guard.
Inks new deal
Zeitler will sign a one-year deal with the Lions on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Zeitler made the Pro Bowl in 2023, and should now replace Jonah Jackson at guard on Detroit's offensive line. The Lions boasted one of the top offensive lines in the NFL last season, and the addition of the Wisconsin product should allow them to do so again in 2024.
