Boston Scott: Breaking News

Announces retirement

Scott announced his retirement from the NFL via his personal social media accounts Wednesday. Scott last suited up for NFL action in 2023, when he appeared in 15 regular-season games with the Eagles. A 2018 sixth-round pick, Scott played six seasons with the Eagles and also spent time on the practice squads of the Saints, Rams and Steelers.

Gets look from Baltimore

The Ravens hosted Scott for a workout over the weekend, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports. Scott did not play in 2024, but he spent the prior six years with the Eagles and finished the 2023 regular season with 20 carries for 86 yards and four catches (on six targets) for 52 yards across 15 games. The Ravens are looking to bolster their depth out of the backfield due to injuries to Keaton Mitchell (undisclosed), Rasheen Ali (undisclosed) and Marcus Major (concussion).

Back to full health

Scott is back in playing shape after rehabbing a partial meniscus tear he sustained before the start of the regular season, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. Scott's first stop as he searches for a new opportunity will be New Orleans, where he has an upcoming workout. With Kendre Miller (hamstring) recently having been sent to injured reserve, it makes sense that the Saints are exploring their options at running back.
