Purdy said Monday that he will not require an offseason procedure to address the turf toe injury that hampered him early during the 2025 campaign, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Purdy's turf toe injury bothered him as early as Week 1, and, in conjunction with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, he was forced him to miss two games. In his return to action Week 4, he then aggravated the toe issue, resulting in a six-game stretch on the sidelines. Purdy said he'll continue strengthening the toe this offseason, but the issue won't cause him any limitations during team activities or require surgery. Across his nine combined regular-season appearances and two playoff tilts, Purdy completed an impressive 230 of 342 pass attempts for 2,569 yards, 22 touchdowns and three interceptions, while also rushing 47 times for 208 yards and three scores. Looking ahead to the 2026 campaign, however, Purdy's fantasy prospects look murky. George Kittle (Achilles) is recovering from a significant injury, while at wide receiver Jauan Jennings is staring down free agency, and injuries consistently hampered Ricky Pearsall in 2025.

Brock Purdy: Breaking News
Struggles against Seattle
Purdy completed 15 of 27 passes for 140 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 41-6 divisional-round loss to the Seahawks. He added five rushes for 37 yards but lost a fumble. Purdy put forth a valiant effort, though the combination of Seattle's pass rush and coverage, as well as a depletion of the 49ers' skill corps, ultimately stymied the entire offense. He was held to his second-lowest yardage total of the campaign, though he still managed three completions of at least 15 yards while also showing some uncharacteristic aggression as a rusher. Though it was a sour ending, Purdy had a very solid season, accounting for 23 total touchdowns and throwing for 240.8 yards per game across nine regular-season contests.
Overcomes two picks to beat PHI
Purdy completed 18 of 31 pass attempts for 262 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing nine times for 24 yards in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card round win over Philadelphia. Purdy hit the ground running to begin the playoffs when he marched the 49ers down the field 76 yards on six plays for a touchdown on the team's opening drive. The 25-year-old ran into some trouble after that with a pair of three-and-out drives before coughing up a fumble out of bounds that cost San Francisco a chance at a field-goal attempt before halftime. Purdy put his resiliency on display in the second half when he overcame a pair of interceptions and threw the game-winning touchdown to RB Christian McCaffrey late in the fourth quarter. The Iowa State product will now shift his focus to Seattle, who held the signal-caller to his worst stat line of 2025 (127 yards, one INT) in Week 18 of the regular season. Purdy and San Francisco's offense will have to execute better in the divisional round if the depleted unit that just lost TE George Kittle (Achilles) has any chance of upsetting the NFC's No. 1 seed.
