Claypool, who was released by the Bills last August with an injury settlement, recently revealed in an Instagram post that he's bouncing back from tearing a ligament and tendon in his second toe, Ryan Talbot of Syracuse.com reports. After signing with Buffalo last May, Claypool was making a push to secure a role in the team's wideout corps ahead of the 2024 season, but a toe injury that the 26-year-old suffered last summer ended up sidelining him for the entire campaign. Since then, Claypool has been rehabbing and recovering with an eye toward moving past the issue and resuming his NFL career. The 2020 second-rounder last saw regular-season action in 2023, when he caught eight passes (on 21 targets) in 12 games (three with the Bears and nine with the Dolphins) for 77 yards and a TD.

Chase Claypool: Breaking News
Tallies pair of points
Drouin put away a goal, registered a power-play assist and added two shots on target in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Stars. Drouin's power-play helper was in the first period before he found the back of the net himself late in the second period. With his two tallies, Drouin eclipsed both the 10-goal mark and 20-assist threshold on the season. With 30 points in 35 games, the 29-year-old is third on Colorado's active roster in points among forwards. Drouin has made a strong impact for the Avalanche in his limited action this season. He holds a spot on Colorado's top power-play unit and can make an impact in deeper leagues in fantasy with the playoffs fast approaching. He is in a great spot to surpass the 40-point mark for the fifth time in his career.
Placed on IR
The Bills placed Claypool (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday. Claypool won't be able to play this season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Bills at some point and then becomes a free agent. He injured his toe July 28 and hasn't practiced since, leaving Mack Hollins and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as the veteran favorites for depth roles at wide receiver in Buffalo.
