The Cowboys removed Shepley (ankle) from the injured reserve list Tuesday after the two sides agreed to an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Shepley was set to miss the entire 2025 season after being placed on injured reserve this past Thursday due to a high-ankle sprain, but the injury settlement allows the 30-year-old offensive guard the opportunity to sign with another team once he's fully healthy. Shepley has appeared in 16 regular-season games since 2020.

Dakoda Shepley: Breaking News
On injured reserve
The Cowboys placed Shepley (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Shelpey has been placed on season-ending injury reserve due to a high-ankle sprain suffered during training camp. If the veteran offensive lineman wants another opportunity to play in 2025, he'll first need to reach an injury settlement with Dallas.
Suffers high-ankle sprain
Shepley suffered a high-ankle sprain in Thursday's joint practice with the Rams, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Shepley is a good bet to miss Saturday's preseason opener against the Rams. The 30-year-old offensive tackle appeared in three regular-season games for Dallas last season and is competing for a reserve role this summer.
