The Lions waived Gilbert (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Gilbert reverted to the Lions' IR one week ago after going unclaimed on waivers, but it now appears the team has reached a settlement with the 23-year-old. Once Gilbert returns to full health, he is free to sign elsewhere.
