David Long: Breaking News

Signed to Indy's practice squad

The Colts signed Long (undisclosed) to the practice squad Monday. Long had a tryout with the Colts in mid-September, and he will now join Indianapolis as a member of the team's practice squad. He played in 13 regular-season games between the Lions (five) and Dolphins (eight) in 2024 and logged 45 tackles (29 solo) and one fumble recovery over that span.

Tries out with Colts

Long (undisclosed) had a tryout with the Colts on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Long was claimed off waivers by the Titans in December of 2024, but he failed a physical and wasn't added to the 53-man roster as a result. However, he appears back at full health as he seeks a new NFL job. Long has starting experience, and he played 13 games last season between the Lions and Dolphins, recording 45 tackles (29 solo).

Finds twine in loss

Gaudreau scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 6-1 loss to Utah. Gaudreau has two goals and an assist over his last four games. He got the Wild on the board at 16:02 of the second period, but Utah's top line dominated in the third to keep the visitors from making a comeback push. Gaudreau is up to 12 goals, 26 points, 82 shots on net, 41 blocked shots, 31 hits and a plus-1 rating over 59 appearances this season. He's been an effective middle-six forward, and while he doesn't stand out in any area, he has enough offense to be considered in deep fantasy formats.
