The Jaguars signed Perry to their practice squad Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. The Brown product has spent the majority of his career on Jacksonville's practice squad since entering the league in 2022, and he'll remain there ahead of the 2024 season. Perry has yet to appear in an NFL game, and he could be in line to serve as the Jaguars' No. 3 QB behind Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones.

Perry signed a contract with the Jaguars on Wednesday. Perry's addition comes as C.J. Beathard is sidelined due to a groin injury and is not expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons. The former has spent time in the organization as recently as last season, and should be able to provide reps in practice and is an option to suit up in Friday's game.
