Gee Scott: Everything you need to know

The Commanders signed Scott to the practice squad Tuesday. Scott went undrafted out of Ohio State earlier this year and spent the offseason with New England before signing with the team's practice squad earlier this season. With Zach Ertz (knee) done for the season, Scott gives Washington some organizational depth at tight end behind John Bates and Ben Sinnott.

The Patriots cut Scott from the practice squad Tuesday. Undrafted out of Ohio State earlier this year, Scott played 48 offensive snaps during the preseason but wasn't targeted in the passing game. He was replaced by fellow tight end Marshall Lang on New England's practice squad.

The Patriots signed Scott to their practice squad Wednesday. Scott spent all of training camp and preseason with the team but was unable to crack a spot on the initial roster. New England has only Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper on the active roster at tight end, so Scott is a candidate to be elevated at some point in future weeks.
