Isaiah Johnson: Breaking News

Gets cut by Miami

The Dolphins waived Johnson (knee) with a failed physical designation Monday. Johnson cleared waivers Tuesday, meaning he is now an unrestricted free agent and will be free to sign with any team once his health allows. He appeared in four games with Miami in 2025 prior to suffering an ACL tear, logging a total of three snaps on defense and 55 snaps on special teams.

Moved to IR with ACL

The Dolphins moved Johnson (knee) to injured reserve Saturday. Johnson appeared in four games this season, totalling just three defensive snaps. Ethan Robinson will now be the lead reserve slot corner behind starter Rasul Douglas.

Suffers torn ACL

Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Friday that Johnson tore his ACL in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The 25-year-old appeared in four games prior to tearing his ACL, recording three total tackles across 58 total snaps (55 on special teams, three on special teams). With Johnson now sidelined, Ethan Robinson is expected to operate as the Dolphins' top reserve slot corner.
