Jake Brendel: Everything you need to know

Brendel (hamstring) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's battle against the Rams, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Brendel hurt his hamstring in Week 7 against Atlanta and missed San Francisco's subsequent two contests. However, he was able to log an LP/LP/FP practice progression this week and has been given clearance to return to action Sunday. Matt Hennessy has done a serviceable job filling in at center the past two weeks, but Brendel figures to retake his starting role against the Rams.

Brendel (hamstring) was ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Giants,Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Brendel originally suffered the injury in Week 7 against the Falcons and will be set for his second consecutive absence. He has yet to practice since getting hurt.

Brendel remains sidelined with the knee injury he suffered in the team's Week 7 win over the Falcons. Matt Hennessy will start at center for the second straight week if Brendel is unable to suit up for Sunday's matchup against the Giants.
