Jake Hansen: Breaking News

The Texans placed Hansen (chest) on injured reserve Thursday. Hansen will miss at least the final two games of the regular season and Houston's first two postseason contests due to his placement on IR, but he could return after that if the team advances further in the playoffs. The reserve linebacker has operated as a key contributor on special teams across his 15 regular-season appearances.

Hansen (chest) did not practice Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Hansen suffered a chest injury in Sunday's win over the Raiders. The reserve linebacker and special-teamer has appeared in all 15 games this season, producing 19 tackles (11 solo) on nine defensive snaps and another 306 on special teams.

Hansen (chest) is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup against the Raiders. Hansen sustained a chest injury in the first half, leaving his status for the remainder of the game up in the air. The 27-year-old will continue to see action on special teams if he manages to return versus Las Vegas.
