Wiley finished the 2025 regular season with one reception for four yards in five games. Wiley struggled to see the field for the Chiefs in 2025 as Travis Kelce, Noah Gray and Robert Tonyan were all ahead on the depth chart. Wiley played just 52 total snaps (28 offensive and 24 on special teams) as the No.4 tight end. The 25-year-old has two more seasons under contract with Kansas City heading into 2026.
Wiley played all three of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Texans. Wiley was one of four active tight ends for Kansas City in Week 14, but the team didn't have any snaps available on offense for him behind Travis Kelce, Noah Gray and Robert Tonyan. The second-year player suited up for just the second time all season after recording a four-yard reception over nine snaps on offense a week earlier in the Chiefs' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cowboys.
Wiley (coach's decision) is inactive for Friday's game against the Chargers, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Wiley appeared in seven regular-season games for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2024, though he saw only 97 total snaps. He slipped behind Robert Tonyan on the depth chart this offseason and will begin 2025 on the inactive list.
