Feliciano (knee) announced Thursday via his personal social media that he is retiring from the NFL. Feliciano says "realized I had to leave the game" in his statement, due to the fact that the knee injury which kept him out the entire 2024 campaign would prohibit him from suiting up for a full season in the future. The veteran guard did, however, state that he'd be open to returning for a playoff run in the future with either the 49ers or Bills, both teams he's previously played for. Since joining the league in 2015, Feliciano has also seen action with the Raiders and Giants.

Jon Feliciano: Breaking News
Won't play vs. Bucs
Feliciano (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Feliciano began the regular season on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery during training camp. His 21-day practice window to return from IR opened Monday, and he was a limited practice participant all week. That won't be enough for him to return Sunday, but his next chance to suit up will be Week 11 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Undergoes knee surgery
Feliciano (knee) underwent knee surgery and he'll likely open the season on injured reserve, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Feliciano has been dealing with knee soreness in recent weeks and he'll now be available until the middle of the season according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The 32-year-old was set to operate as a top reserve option at interior offensive line to open the 2024 campaign.
