Free agent after non-tender

The Jaguars did not tender Cephus (undisclosed) on Wednesday, per the NFL transaction report. As such, Cephus will now be an unrestricted free agent. He did not appear in a regular-season game in 2025 due to an undisclosed injury that caused him to be placed on IR in late August. Cephus will look to join a team in need of wide receiver depth.

Reverts to IR

Cephus (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve with the Jaguars on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Cephus suffered an undisclosed injury during training camp with Jacksonville, which is now set to sideline him for the 2025 campaign. He'd be eligible to sign elsewhere and play this season if he were to reach an injury settlement with the Jaguars, otherwise he'll shift his focus to 2026.

Let go by Jaguars

The Jaguars waived Cephus (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Wednesday. Cephus had signed a reserve/future contract with Jacksonville after having spent last season on their practice squad but was unable to stand out in training camp. He will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.
