Harmon signed a reserve/future contract with the Cowboys on Monday. Harmon is an NFL veteran who was selected by Washington in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The wideout played a substantial amount during his rookie campaign, tallying 30 receptions on 44 targets for 365 yards, but hasn't seen NFL action since. That partly has to do with a torn ACL he suffered during training camp ahead of his sophomore campaign, though he's long since recovered from that injury. With the reserve/future deal he signed Monday, Harmon will have the opportunity to compete for a spot on the Cowboys' roster during training camp this summer.
Harmon signed with Dallas' practice squad Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN reports. Harmon will stay in Dallas despite having been waived Tuesday. The 26-year-old hasn't appeared in a regular season game since 2019 where he caught 30 passes for 365 yards for the Commanders but will look for an opportunity to be elevated this season.
Dallas waived Harmon on Tuesday. Harmon signed with the Cowboys in late July while CeeDee Lamb was holding out for a contract extension. Harmon played in all three preseason games, registering five catches for 70 yards. The 2019 sixth-round pick will explore his next options should he clear waivers.
